On the Market ..... Again

Sadly our potential purchaser has decided to withdraw from the transaction. This is disappointing as I thought they would go through with it especially as they have spent money on surveys and searches. Never mind – these things happen.

The house is back on the market again and there have been several further viewings so I hope I shall have some better news soon.

Bummer. Any idea why? Is there a further softening of the market happening? Slightly related aside: We're going through re-mortgaging at the moment and the initial valuation is a ~10% reduction from what we paid 4 years ago. The interim valuation 2 years ago was ~10% increase over first two years - which would indicate total valuation has fallen from possible peak by 20% (all taken with big dose of salt).

Ouch - sorry to hear that. £40 a day carrying cost in interest, plus insurance, utilities, etc.

I think that the estate agent ought to agree to a cut in fee at this point. Or allow you to go multi agency at no cost.

I note that it doesn't show up on Globrix, for example. I don't think that does you any favours.

Will you now rent it out?
